The Western Mass Home Show was recently held at the Mullins Center at UMass, Amherst. The event was a great opportunity for homeowners to learn about the many products and services available to them.

There was a wide array of industries represented at the home show. With spring coming, many may be looking for landscaping ideas. Those ideas were on display with elaborate showcases that included water features, stone walls, and more.

Other businesses offered sunrooms and exterior lighting. Of course, there were remodeling and general building contractors present at the event as well. One contractor specialized in building post and beam homes.

Solar companies were popular at the home show as well.  Some local solar companies that were present included Northeast Solar, Pioneer Valley PhotoVoltaics, and Energia.

Ideas of the inside of the home included an air quality improvement company and a water quality improvement company.

Improving a kitchen is always a great way to make a home more marketable.  Kitchen Options, Inc., and Kitchen Concepts are both worth consideration when making this important improvement.  If you have wood floors that are loosing their shine, but don’t have the time and money to sand and refinish them, there was a solution for that too.

I will be adding a new category that will be great resource for potential home buyers and sellers looking to improve upon their home.
